Born
and raised in a small rural community Jeff Bergs always dreamed
of becoming a comedian. As a child growing up watching black
and white T.V. shows such as Merv Griffin, Mike Douglas, and
Dina Shore, and seeing comedic stars like the late George
Kirby, Frank Gorshin, David Frye, and John Byner inspired
him to pursue his dream as an impressionist and Stand-up comic.
Jeff started voice impressions in the fourth grade and has
never stopped.
In
1990, Jeff took his act to a Minneapolis Comedy Club on an open
mic night, traveling 155 miles one way for 3 minutes and no
pay. He was told by the owner he was either the stupidest person
he had ever met or the most dedicated. Driven by a hunger he
could not explain, Jeff continued open mic nights until he made
his professional debut in 1991.
Since
then, Jeff has recorded hundreds of radio commercials, appeared
on live T.V. for the Jerry Lewis telethon, and has appeared
on comedy stages throughout the Midwest and western states.
Jeff’s
Hilarious and honest depictions of situational humor has delighted
audiences throughout his career. His stand-up routine employs
a unique blend of comedic bits accompanied by outstanding voice
impressions. From life’s everyday happenings to television
and television advertising to movies. Jeff’s style and
stage presence is sure to thrill audience throughout the country.
